Without question there has been a steep rise in the number of cell phone users all around the globe. We also have the latest phones arriving with all kinds of cool features which people like to show off. Gone are the days when phones were used just for making and receiving calls. Today, you can use a mobile phone for taking pictures, recording video, browsing the internet, listening to FM radio, as a GPS, and even for watching TV.

* Respect people’s time – keep your calls short and brief instead of beating around the bush.

* Do not talk on mobile phones while making a purchase. It is terribly rude to keep people waiting for the sake of a simple phone call.

* Reduce your phone volume – never try to impress people with loud and bizarre ring tones. They will only get irritated. Also, it is downright sick trying to talk loud when all that is needed is a soft voice to get the message across.

* Never put the person on the other end of the line on hold unless there is no way out. And if you are going to put someone on hold, always do that after requesting for permission.
